Take Action To Get Out of a Rut
Have you ever felt like you’re in a slump? The less you do, the LESS you want to do! Take a note from Tony Robbins; he always talks about “getting into state.” Do 1 thing to take action and move you towards your goal. Take action, move forward, never stay stagnant.
- Action always beats inaction. Action builds momentum, and inaction drives you deeper into the rut.
- Think about something you want to get better. Do 1 thing to move towards that goal. Make it one small thing to start with. One small thing leads to another and before you know it you’ve knocked out four or five actions, all that build upon one another and create a new source of energy.
- Action builds momentum. The more forward action you take, the more action you WANT to take! This is the “state” that you want to be in throughout the course of your day. Compare this to the state you’re in when you’re sunk into a slump and craving only distraction and donuts. Which sounds better?
When you’re stagnant, when you’re not doing stuff, you’re feeling like you just don’t want to do anything. The less you do, the less you want to do…..So as Tony Robbins puts it, take action. Do one thing today that moves you forward. If you’re having a tough time exercising. Do 5 burpees. Do five burpees right now.
