Outdoor Running Conditioning

As the weather warms, it's time for Spartans to come out of hibernation.

Get outdoors. Fresh air and vitamin D will do you some good.

Today we run to our workout. A Spartan commute to the gym.

Warm-up 

Time to get familiar with your surroundings again.

Take the first 15 minutes of your workout to get outside, get moving, and get to a good place to perform your strength set.

Start with a slow jog. Gradually increase your speed.

Look for a park, a field, or a clearing the woods.

Main Set 

15 Burpees 20 Lunges (each leg) Run a 5 minute loop

x 3-5 times

Run back to your house.

Cool down (3 minutes) 

Jog/walk or Stretch or Foam Roll or Acumobility

Today's Challenge:

Learn your surroundings. Is there a good hill within a 15 minute run from your house? While you are out and about today, start looking for where we will do our hill repeats later in the week.
